SINS OF THE FATHERS

"Yea though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil"
does not mean you are less accountable
for sins committed against a defenseless child
one who trusted you one who came
to your church to learn about the goodness
of Love and the willing surrender to God

A most evil form of terror unimaginable horror
either directly or as an accomplice
your bear the guilt for despicable crimes
your very presence provokes utter nausea
in the hearts of devotion and Love

The children will speak
they will be empowered to fight you
they will gain the strength to heal
from wounds you have inflicted
but you will need to reach to the depths
of your own soul because you have broken
HIS sacred seal a sacred bond entrusted to you
is destroyed when you harmed that child

Robbed of innocence
you betray their hearts
you steal their youth
you cause agony and shame
you steal even their faith
a predator, a stalker waiting to inflict pain
a hunter of children for your own selfish gain

No church of God will condone
no person of integrity will allow you
to continue this evil indecency
you will answer only to ONE
but until you do we will protect
all children from your vile grip

Your sacred vows a mockery
your heart empty of Love
your worthiness lost to the unholy
reaches of darkness, a wasteland
reserved for the most vile criminals
may God show HIS mercy
and forgiveness for these sins
for the sins of the fathers
and for all who hurt or injure
the body and spirit of a little child.
