SODOM AND GOMORRAH

In life we evolve then later we fade
morality cut by a sharpened blade
Mindless of perfection in universal law
or penalties to pay for this fatal flaw

Middle East woes benefit whom?
Africa again faces impending doom
Murder of children climbs to rise
few respond to their desperate cries

The "occupied" live in a hell on earth
no peace for baby e'en before his birth
Forgive us God! for we too play a part
injustice lives on in an unclean heart

Poverty grows on a disastrous scale
token efforts (by thieves) deemed to fail
AIDS rampant but medicine denied
Hunger, no water! e'en tears have dried

Same-sex "marriage" infiltrates our schools
the young subjected by nations of fools
Politics and drug wars a horror campaign
poppies don't die when there's much to gain

Greed lives on in the minds of men
The 80/20 rule is a rule they defend
twenty live well and eighty so poor
Sodom and Gomorrah's the bait and lure

Molesters of children ignite despair
this crime meets murder without a care
All manner of terror kills innocent souls
cowards hide well in their lairs and holes

Planet Earth's in pain, the universe cries
agonised and tortured by greed 'til it dies
We heed man's laws while God's we ignore
Sodom and Gomorrah returns as the whore

Babylon breeds that which is sown
a harvest of evil like none we've known
Distracted by spins, our ego and pride
Earth meets Heaven and the two collide

We must seek a cure and refuse the bait
lest humanity meets an untimely fate
Subtraction from "self" seeking only God
all else deemed fake in Babylon's fraud.
