World Peace

Is it peace that we seek in our violent world
Is it Love that we give to every boy and girl
What do we want and how will we learn
If not wishing for peace
then for what do we yearn?

Is it hope that is offered to both friend and foe
Is it a harvest of truth from that which we sow
What is it we wish for and what time remains
If not wishing for peace
are we imprisoned by chains?

Is it Love in our hearts that is shared with mankind
Is it compassion, patience and acceptance we find
How can we help just one dying soul
If not wishing for peace
and truth to unfold?
